Washing Grains

This oatmeal based scrub is soothing, exfoliating and versatile. Using a mix of local (where possible) herbs, organic oatmeal, clay and dulse this cleanser will nourish and can give relief from all kinds of skin issues such as eczema, dry/oily skin and acne.

It is used by putting a small amount into your hand, adding water to make a paste and applying it to the face then rinse off or use it as a mask by leaving it sit for 10 minutes on the skin. This can be used daily and can be applied to the full body in the shower.

Depending on availability herbs can include:

• Calendula: gentle enough for all skin types, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal
  
• Rose: hydrating, gentle astringent
• Comfrey: regenerative, anti-inflammatory
  
• Nettle: healing for exczema,
  
• Chickweed: gentle astringent, antiseptic, moisturizer
  
• Oatstraw: nourisher
  
• Lavender: anitseptic, anti-inflammatory, calming
  
• Chamomile: soothing for dry irritated skin

The herbs alone make this product smell wonderful but it does come in several other fragrances - orange, peppermint, rose and lavender.
